Rutgers has been named to receive the inagural College Football Game of the Year™ Award for its stunning upset of Lousiville on November 9, 2006. A stadium record crowd was joined by millions across the nation who watched via prime-time television as the Scarlet Knights made their dramatic come-from-behind effort to record the school's biggest win in its rich football history.
Artist Daniel A. Moore's latest creation, "Resurgence", symbolizes the team effort put forth throughout Rutgers' entire 2006 season. It depicts Brian Leonard clearing the way for Ray Rice's run that set up the winning Field Goal, as Coach Schiano observes the action from the sideline. The painting is being offered in limited editions of Fine Art Prints and Original Canvas Replicas. In recognition of the crucial role that the great school spirit and support played in realizing such a remarkable season, each print will be accompanied by a special gold embossing of the offical College Football Game of the Year™ Award.
"Resurgence" is a masterful artistic tribute and is fitting for such an esteemed institution, whose rich heritage extends to the very genesis of collegiate football history. The exquisite fine art prints and canvas replicas are sure to become treasured heirlooms — to be passed down to future generations of fans. Each is signed and numbered by the artist and comes with a Certificate of Limited Edition. The Fine Art Prints have an image area of 19½" x 26" and the Canvas Replicas measure 26" x 35". The anticipated release of "Resurgence" is July 2, 2007.
